Now recruiting chapter facilitators

Bring The Idea Room to your city.

The Idea Room is where entrepreneurs brainstorm each other's ideas — live, structured, and generous. If you're a coach, consultant, or entrepreneur who believes ideas get better out loud, we'll certify you to host the official chapter where you live.

The format

One room. Real people. Every idea gets worked on.

"I walked in with a note on my phone. I walked out with a plan, three collaborators, and a deadline I actually wanted."

— Idea Room session participant, Kansas City

  • 1 Structured brainstorming. A proven session format — not open-mic networking. Every attendee's idea gets time in the room.
  • 2 Peer-powered. The room does the work. Facilitators guide the method; entrepreneurs sharpen each other.
  • 3 Connected nationally. Every attendee joins The Idea Room app — projects, collaborators, replays, and a community that continues after the chairs are stacked.

The partnership

What we bring. What you bring.

  • Members who join one national community — yours included
What's in it for you?

Fair question. Honest answers.

Sessions are always free for attendees. Here's what hosting the room gives you.

Do I earn anything as a facilitator?

Yes — recurring referral commissions. Every attendee who upgrades to a paid Idea Room membership through your chapter earns you a monthly commission for as long as they stay a member. Your room grows, your recurring income grows with it. Other platforms hosts do this work for free; our facilitators don't.

What does the brand do for me?

"Come to my meetup" and "I'm the certified facilitator of The Idea Room [Your City], part of a national network" are very different sentences. The brand hands you instant credibility with attendees, venues, sponsors, and local press — and it compounds as more cities open.

How much work is it, really?

One session a month, plus the community presence you'd want anyway. The platform handles the unglamorous part — registration, reminders, replays, and member follow-up all run through The Idea Room app, so your job is the room, not the admin.

Will this grow my own business?

It's designed to. Every session puts you at the center of your city's idea economy, in front of entrepreneurs who now associate you with breakthroughs. For coaches, consultants, and agency owners, that's a pipeline no ad budget buys. You also get a facilitator profile on our site and features in our newsletter and channels.

What do founding facilitators get?

The first cohort gets the certification fee waived, a permanent Founding Facilitator title, a real voice in shaping the playbook, and first invitations to co-host national virtual sessions and speak at the annual Idea Room Conference in Kansas City.

What support do I get after launch?

Certification training, the full session playbook and exercises, a private network of fellow facilitators to swap tactics with, and national spotlight moments — your sessions featured in Session Notes, the newsletter, and the app.

Your name on the door

Official in the app. On stage at the conference.

Recognition isn't a perk we mention in passing — it's built into the product.

badge

The verified badge, everywhere you appear

Every member in The Idea Room app sees you as your city's official facilitator — on your profile, on your sessions, in the community. When someone in your city opens the app, your name is the front door.

A stage at the national conference

Facilitators are recognized on the main stage at the annual Idea Room Conference — and lead the breakout rooms. Once a year, the whole national community sees exactly who runs your city.

Who this is built for

You're already the person people bring their ideas to.

Two kinds of facilitators thrive in this role. If either sounds like you, you should apply.

Coaches & Consultants

You advise entrepreneurs for a living. Hosting the official Idea Room chapter puts you at the center of your city's idea economy — every month, a room full of your exact clients watches you do what you do best.

Sound like you?

  • You coach, consult, or advise founders and small businesses
  • Your best clients have always come from people seeing you in action
  • You want a stage that fills itself — and pays a commission on top

Collaborative entrepreneurs

You believe ideas get better out loud. You're the founder friends call to think things through, and your favorite part of building is building with people. This makes that instinct official — with a method, a brand, and a national community behind it.

Sound like you?

  • You brainstorm other people's ideas for fun, not favors
  • You leave every mastermind or meetup wishing it went deeper
  • You want collaborators and community, not just an audience
